Mrs. Connie Kay Deaton age 62 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Barbourville ARH. She was born on November 13, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Mae (Warren) Medlock. Connie was a member of the Swan Pond Baptist Church. She had been a Home Health Aide who worked for the Knox Co. Home Health. She loved to cook and especially loved being a mother. Mrs. Deaton is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mae Medlock, and her son Eric Joseph Deaton, two brothers, Jim Medlock and Don Medlock and one sister Maudetta Grubb.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her husband David Deaton of Barbourville, her son, Daniel Deaton of Barbourville, her two grandchildren Emily Deaton and Megan Deaton both of Barbourville, two brothers, Dennis Medlock of Bimble and Michael Medlock and wife Charity of North Carolina, four sisters, Nella Sears and husband Jim of Cincinnati, Dorothy Alsip of Butler, KY, Brenda Grisham of Barbourville and Karen Smith of Mackey Bend. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Connie Deaton will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Pallbearers will be, Bill Brooks, Phillip Vaughn and Albert Davis. She will be laid to rest in the Warren Family Cemetery at Bimble, KY. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
