Mrs. Conda "Connie" L. Ryan, age 74, of London, KY, formerly of Cincinnati passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013, in the St. Joseph Hospital, London, KY. She was the wife of James Ryan, and the daughter of the late Elmer Vanover and Youtha Johnson Vanover, born to them in Pike County, KY, on September 9, 1938. She was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Vanover and one half-brother Elmer Levi Vanover. Connie was a retired salesperson for Boise Cascade office supplies and a member of the Orchard Street Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky.
In addition to her husband, James Ryan, she is also survived by one daughter, Jamie Ryan of Cincinnati, Ohio, two brothers, Larry Vanover and wife Lynn, Dorton, KY, and Johnny Vanover and wife Brenda of Dorton, KY, three sisters, Judy Lowery and husband Leonard, Dorton, KY, Soundra Potter and husband Garfield, Prestonsburg, KY, and Benji Mullins and husband Mitchell, Dorton, KY and one half-sister Ann Coy and her husband Eric of Morristown TN. Connie also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Conda "Connie" L. Ryan will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Garfield Potter and Rev. Leonard Lowery officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews. Entombment will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily, KY.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
