Clarence Merida

Mr. Clarence Merida age 65, of Flat Lick, KY passed away on Monday – February 23, 2009 at his home. He was the son of Lillie (Baker) Merida and the late James Merida, born to them on November 14, 1943 in Knox County.

Mr. Merida’s former occupation was repairing heating & air units, he belived in the Baptist faith, and enjoyed fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his loving father James Merida.

Survivors include: one son Richard Goins, three daughters Kim Hopkins & husband Dallas, Lisa Wardrup & husband Ronnie, and Tina Vaughn all of Hamilton, Ohio. Two brothers Arther Merida & wife Lulie, and John D. Merida both of Flat Lick, KY. Four sisters Doris Jane Philpot & husband Pierce of Flat Lick, KY, Bernice Stevens of Flat Lick, KY, Julie Whitson of Hamilton, Ohio, and Lisa Jordan & husband Mike of Florence, KY. Four Grandchildren Darell Wardrup, Tiffiany Wardrup, Cristy Brewer, Kathleen Goins. Two Great Grandchhildren Jarred Wardrup, and Dustin Wardrup.

Funeral Services for Mr. Merida will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, On Friday – February 27th, at 1:00 p.m. With the Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00.
