Mr. Charles Edward Parrott age 80 formerly of Tedders Creek Community in Knox County, passed away on Sunday June14, 2009 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. He was born on September 16, 1928 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin the son off William McKinley “Bill” Parrott and Ida (Neuman) Parrott. He was a retired tobacco farmer, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, an Eagle Scout, enjoyed listening to classical music and watching old classic movies. In 2007 he was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ida Parrott and one infant sister.
Survivors include many cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Parrott will be conducted on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, KY with friends and family serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family of Mr. Parrott will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday June 17, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
