Mr. Charles Hibbard age 85 of Girdler, Ky departed this life on Tuesday – February 26, 2008 at his home. He was the widower of Carol (Hounchell) Hibbard,
And the son of the late Millard & Hannah (Broughton) Hibbard of Knox Co. Mr. Hibbard was born on April 03, 1922 in Knox Co. He believed in God, and like to Hunt, and fish. Mr. Hibbard was retired from General Motors. His parents, his wife, and two sons Charles William Scott, Donald Keith Hibbard, Sr. and one sister Pearl Perry preceded Mr. Hibbard in death.
Survivors include five sons Jimmy Scott & wife Pauline of Laport, IN., Douglas Scott of Hinkle, KY, Wayne Hibbard & wife Katherine of Chattanooga, TN, Michael Hibbard of Hinkle, KY., Tony Hibbard & wife Sharon of London, KY, three daughters Ruth Warren & husband Glenn of Barbourville, Ky., Betty White & husband Mike of Corbin, KY, Regina Hobbs & husband Stony of Girdler, KY, 26 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Hibbard will be conducted on Thursday-February 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Tackett officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Burial will follow in the Hammons cemetery at Girdler. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
