Mr. Charles Henderson age 56 of Kay Jay passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at his home. He was the son of Elmer & Mary (Jones) Henderson and was born in Bell Co., KY on January 1, 1952. Mr. Henderson enjoyed being outdoors. He had been a coal miner and a general laborer during his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Mary Henderson, two brother’s Tom Henderson and Estil Henderson and one sister Berta Jean Henderson.
Survivors include his girlfriend of twenty two years, Dana Dhonau of Kay Jay, two sons Wayne Henderson of Lexington, KY & Mike Henderson of Indian Creek three daughters April Henderson of Corbin, KY, Tabitha Henderson of Kay Jay, KY and Tifffany Henderson of London, KY, two step-sons Larry Dhonau of Cincinnati Ohio and David Dhonau & wife Rita of Barbourville, KY, two step-daughters Randi & Tracy Dhonau both of Kay Jay, KY, four brothers Elmer Henderson & wife Peggy of Kay Jay, KY, William Henderson & wife Carman of Austin, TX, Harold Henderson & wife Kay of Elmhurst, Ohio, Jessie Henderson & wife Patsy of Siler, KY, three sisters, Joann Jackson of Pineville, KY, Loretta Holbrook & husband Cordell of TN and Dorothy Alford & husband Jess of Mayfield, KY, and nineteen grandchildren. Mr. Henderson also leaves behind a host of many other relatives & friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Henderson will be conducted on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnold Petrey officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Burial will follow in the Henderson family cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home.
