Mr. Charles Scott Greer age 91 of Cannon, KY passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 in the Knox County Hospital. He was the widow of Betty (Frady) Greer and the son of the late James & Ella Elizabeth (Rash) Greer born to them on February 26, 2021 in Hurley, VA.
Charles was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church, was a WWII veteran and enjoyed his Bible study, the outdoors, and woodworking. He was also a former Lumber inspector for Ritter, Georgia Pacific, Marshall and E.K. Woods from where he retired.
Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Edgar Greer, Stewart Greer and Howard Greer, and one Sister Virginia Wilson Greer.
Left behind to morn his passing is his daughter DeRhonda Hubbs & husband Chris of Cannon, KY, two brothers Jimmie Greer &wife Maxine of Lasker, NC and Robert Greer of Columba City, IN, two sisters Bessie Greer of Cannon, KY and Mary bush of Forest, VA, two grandchildren Charles Anthony Hubbs & wife Nicole, and Matthew Christopher Hubbs. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Charles Scott Greer will be conducted on Monday, April 23, 2012 @ 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Vandy officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult men's Sunday school class of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in Jeff, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
