Charles Wayne Blevins age 41 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his home. He was the son of Earsel Wayne & Ruth Blevins born to them on April 24, 1972. On June 19, 1999 he united in marriage with Robin Mills. He was a member of the Artemus Baptist Church and worked for Blevins Construction.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Bonnie Kinder and J.D. and Nannie "Big Mommy" Blevins, his grandparents in law, Martin Rock & Leanna Williams, and Lester & Goldie Mills.
Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Robin Blevins of Barbourville, his parents, Earsel Wayne and Ruth Blevins of Artemus, his brother James Blevins and wife Emily of Flat Lick, his mother & father in law, Ray and Jennie Mills of Himyar, a sister in law Tammy Gray and husband Randy of Himyar, and nieces and nephews, T. J. Melton of Himyar and Hannah & Micah Blevins of Flat Lick and his loyal canine companion, Snoopy. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Charles Wayne Blevins will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, July 28, 2013 with Rev. Ricky Partin, Rev. Josh Smith and Rev. Sylvester Dunn. Pallbearers will be Bob Blevins, Mike Blevins, Dillon Blevins, Steve Smith, James Epperson and Floyd Blevins. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Bays, Micah Blevins and T.J. Melton. Burial will be in the David B. Howard Cemetery at Artemus, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
