Mr. Charles Odell Belcher age 65 of Barbourville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 07, 2015 at the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 30, 1950 in Earling, West Virginia a son of the late Charles Lewis and Violet Mae Belcher.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Pamela Belcher, two sisters, Mary Ferguson and Bertha Anderson and three brothers, Erman, Arthur and Leroy Belcher.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifteen years Priscilla Belcher of Barbourville, one daughter Marquita Broughton and her husband Johnny, two step children, Ernie Bingham of Corbin and Sheila Belcher and her husband Greg, four grandchildren, Bethany Rashell, Austin Dewayne and Nathan Conley Hensley and Chloe Beth Bingham, one sister Dorothy Farmer and husband Harold of Logan West Virginia, two brothers, Herman Belcher and wife Madeline of North Carolina and Thurman Belcher and wife Linda of Logan West Virginia and his first wife Thursey Belcher of Barbourville. He is also survived by Shana Hudson, Trish Turner, Lisa Freeman, Melissa Bigham, Ernie Bingham and Greg Belcher who were dear to his heart.
Odell enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, going to church and church functions. He also enjoyed going to the races with Pete and Shawn, playing with Chloe and driving his truck. Odell was saved on November 7, 2005 at Meldrum Missionary Baptist church and was a current member of Eagles Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Belcher will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Huddleston, Rev. Dale Jones and Michael Hendrickson officiating. Pallbearers will be Pete Capps, Shaun Capps, Leon Allen, Larry Dunn, Scott Dunn, Kevin Helton, Roy Vaughn, Mike Warfield and Sean Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be, Dr. Carter and staff, Dr. Sharma and staff, Dr. Byrnes and staff and members of Eagle Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Belcher will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
