Mrs. Carolyn Sue Bright age 53 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Friday- June 25th, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of Earl Bright and the daughter of Billy & Gussie (Johnson) Gray. She was born on July 27th, 1956 in Knox County. Mrs. Bright was a member of the New Girdler Holiness Church and enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, and helping people.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Bridgett Ann Bright, a brother Denver Gray and one infant brother Charles Clinton Gray.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her husband Earl Bright of Barbourville, KY, one son Ben Bright & girlfriend Kellie Poole of Barbourville, KY, three brothers Paul Gray & wife Pauline of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billy Gray, Jr. & wife Doris of Barbourville, KY, and Mack Arthur Gray & wife Marsha of North Carolina, four sisters Cora Mae Mills & husband Cleveland of Hammond, KY, Lydia Smith of Barbourville, KY, Doris Smith & husband L.C. of Bimble, and Bernice Bright & husband Rev. Charles Bright of Gray, KY, a sister in-law Estelene Gray of Dewitt, KY, special friends Janice Shepherd, Joyce Croley and Debbie Smith. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to her caregivers Dr. West, Dr. Gohmann, Dr. Kurhmar, Parkway Pharmacy’s Staff, and Knox County Home Health.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Bright will be conducted on Tuesday-June 29th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.P. Edwards, Rev. Ryan Wells, Rev. Charles Bright, and Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Calvin Smith, Donnie Gray, Jeff Bright, Steven Bright, Jerry Gray, Curtis Mills, and Gary Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Shepherd, Arnold Stewart, Teddy Smith, Martin Price, and Calvin Manis. Burial will follow in the Henry Mills Cemetery at Road Fork. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
