Carlos Mills age 57 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was the husband of Barbara (Castle) Mills and the son of the late Robert and Louise Mills. He was born on February 23, 1964 in Fount, Kentucky.
Carlos enjoyed fishing and riding his bicycle, hunting ginseng and loved being around people.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Mills, and five siblings, Walter Mills, Johnny Mills, Bobby Mills, Phyllis Mills and Norma Sue Mills and a niece, Christy Elaine Mills.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife, Barbara of Barbourville, six step-children, Matthew Paul Weddle, Thomas James Weddle both of Barbourville, Daniel Dewayne Weddle and Mark Weddle both of Gray, Patricia Ann Thornton and Tammy Kay Thornton, three brothers, Lloyd Mills and wife Helen of Bimble, Creed Mills and wife Becky and Michael Mills all of Davenport, Iowa, five sisters, Cleo Minton and husband Carl of Bimble, Jennifer Mills and fiance’ Austin of Flat Lick, Alice Adams and husband Mark of Slemp, Kentucky, Bonnie of Iowa and Angie Wagner and husband Larry of Bimble, special nephews, Caiden, Hunter, Matthew, Caisen, Nevan, John-John, Andrew and Camden, nieces, Cassidy , Kayla Sierra, Donna, Ellen and Addison along with several grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Carlos will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Laymon Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be, Austin Davidson, Matthew Weddle, Tommy Weddle, Matt Porter, Matt Jones, Hunter Simpson and Lloyd Mills. He will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
