Carl Niccum, Jr

Carl Niccum, Jr. age 23 of Girdler, KY departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 in the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was the son of Paula Niccum and the late Carl Niccum. He was born in Fort Stewart, Georgia on January 2, 1986. He was an employee of the Appalachian Childrens Home and also Millward and Castle attorneys. He was a member of the River Baptist Church and he loved Rock Crawling, fishing and golf.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Niccum, Sr. and his grandfather, James Vaughn.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his mother, Paula Niccum and her life partner Howard Creasy of Barbourville, one sister Nichole Niccum of Williamsburg, his grandparents, Evelyn Jordan of Girdler and Geraldine Messer of Barbourville, two nephews, Malachi White, Keelan Lee and one niece Hailea White along with his closest friend Jess Yeager. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Carl Niccum, Jr. will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dewayne Smith, Rev. Josh K. Smith and Rev. Mark Gibbs officiating. Pallbearers will be friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Ballard, Guy Millward, Sam Castle, James West, Jerry Yeager and Stanley Lee. He will be laid to rest in the Gambrel Cemetery at Woolum, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
