Mr. Carl Hubbard age 66 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Monday, December 7, 2009 in the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin. He was the husband of Billie (Moyers) Hubbard and the son of Albert & Pearlie Hubbard. He was born in Knox Co. on June 30, 1943 and was the owner and operator of Carl’s Auto Body Repair Shop. He was a member of Boone’s Temple Pentecostal Church. Carl loved to hunt and fish but especially loved being with his entire family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Albert & Pearlie Hubbard, two brothers Dewey Hubbard and James Hubbard and a special nephew Jeffrey Brown.
Survivors include his wife Billie Hubbard of Barbourville, one son Carl Wayne Hubbard and wife Pamela and one daughter Patricia Ann Hubbard Owens both of Barbourville, one brother, Lonnie Wayne Hubbard and wife Virginia of Scalf, and five sisters, Eleanor Warren, Galila Lankford and husband Leroy, Gladys Smith and husband Phillip all of Barbourville, Bertha Blankenship of Walker Park and Effie Brown and husband Jack of Swan Pond, two grandchildren Carl Dewayne Hubbard, Jr. and Charles Dewayne Owens. Mr. Hubbard also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Carl Hubbard will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Duke Hammons and Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Dewayne Hubbard, Jr., Charles Dewayne Owens, Richie Barkley, Danny Mills, Gary Hamilton, Shirley Dean Berkley, Jack Brown and Richard Barkley. Honorary pallbearers will be, Adam Mills, Richard Reed, Matthew Hubbard, Josh Hubbard, Mark Hubbard, Burl Hubbard, Casey Cooper, Terry Hubbard, Carter Hughes, Curtis Brown, Carter Hughes, Phillip Smith, Leroy Lankford, Matthew Hubbs,Ray Mills, Larry “Walleye” Jones, Michael Hubbard, Randal Roach, Thomas Ballard, John omer Moyers, Vickie Stearman, Brenda Mills, Debbie Garrison, Carolyn Blankenship, Marie Hubbard, Lois Hubbard and Jackie “Sissy” Johnson. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
