Carl Dutell

Mr. Carl James Dutell age 54 of Girdler, KY passed away on Thursday October 22, 2009 at his home. He was the son of the Late Harold & Lula (Elam) Dutell born to them on May 17, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Carl loved to go to church and was a member of Sinking Valley Baptist Church and was baptized on September 26th, 1982. He also enjoyed mowing and weedeating and collecting coins and knives and he loved helping others. Carl was a special friend and helper at the Knox Plaza Barber Shop where he helped clean up and enjoyed the company of his good friends, Rev. Denvil Taylor, J.W. Warren and Stanley Peace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Dutell and Lola Linville and one sister Kim Smith.
Survivors include his adoptive parents, Ethel and Laymon Barnes of Girdler, KY, four brothers, Wayne Linville, Arville Dutell and wife Debbie and Joe Dutell and wife Charlotte all of Cincinnati, Ohio and Bruce Dutell of Florida, one sister Kay Riedy and husband Ray of Dayton, Ohio. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Carl James Dutell will be conducted at the Sinking Valley Baptist Church on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Denvil Taylor and Rev. Johnny Fisher officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sunday School Class of Sinking Valley, everyone at the Knox Plaza Barber Shop and his former pastor Rev. Vernon Morris. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery at Girder, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and then on Sunday at the Sinking Valley Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
