Brenda Lenore Tuggle, age 67 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel Mae Kilgore Smith born to them on May 17, 1947 in Barbourville, KY. Brenda was a KCEOC preschool teacher for 43 years and a member of the Beacon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Brenda was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Faye Meade, two brothers, Howard Ray Smith and Roger Smith, one nephew, Charles Earl Martin and one very special aunt she considered a sister, Thelma Jean Ramey.
She is survived by two daughters; Kim Payne and husband David of Barbourville, KY and Michelle Winchester and husband Paul of Corbin, KY., three sisters; Sue Martin and husband Mack, Tina Chafin and husband Jimmy and Debbie Russ and husband David all of Barbourville, KY. five Grandchildren; Tiffany Suttles, JP and Shelby Winchester, David Ryan Payne and Megan Barton along with a host of many other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing. The family would like to express a very sincere Thank You to Brenda's special neighbors Jerry Paul Cox and Rick Broughton.
Funeral services for Brenda Tuggle will be conducted on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. David Barnard officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening
from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of
service at 2:00 p.m.
