Bonnie Ester King

Mrs. Bonnie King age 95 of Barbourville, KY passed away on Saturday September 3, 2011 in the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of John T. King and the daughter of the late David & Alice (Poff) Elam of Knox County born to them on March 16th, 1916.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of the Turkey Creek Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John, her brother & sisters, Celia Runyon, Silas Elam, Sam Elam, Bessie Cartwright, Mary Blanton, Jesse Elam, Barney Elam her twin and Pearl Wood and two daughters Earline Carter and Lois King.
Survivors include: five sons Don King & wife Janice of Milford, Ohio, J. B. King of Turkey Creek, KY, Rondall King of Tulsa, OK, Barney King & wife Phyllis of Flat Lick, KY, and Walter King of Turkey Creek, KY, 18 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Mrs. King also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Bonnie King will be conducted on Monday-September 5th, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery at Turkey Creek. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
