Mr. Bobby Barnes age 70, went on to be with the lord early Friday, April 3, 2009 at his home in Girdler, KY. He was the son of Charlie and Maude Disney Barnes and born in Knox County, KY on March 13, 1939. On June 2, 2000, he was united in marriage to Brenda Hammons. Bobby was a member of Old Ark House of Prayer. A retired GMAC employee and former Vice President of the UAW with GM in Norwood, Ohio. Bobby enjoyed hunting and fellowshipping with his friends.

His parents, Charlie and Maude Barnes, precede him in death. Three brothers: Dallas Barnes, Denver Barnes and Edward Barnes. Six sisters: Minnie Sobick, Dorothy Stewart, Nettie CobbWagers, Clida Barnes, Effie Barnes and Georgia Morris. One grandson, Jim Mike Hubbard.

Survivors include five daughters: Tammy Dennison and husband Dwayne of Bowling Green, KY, Jackie Crawford and husbnd Chuck of Barbourville, KY, Kelli Patricia Hubbard and husband Mike of Barbourville, KY, Michelle Disney of Bowling Green, KY, Kim Anderson and husband Jeff of Barbourville, KY. Two sons: Dallas Barnes and wife Elizabeth of Stinking Creek, KY, Brian Wagner and Sandra of Girdler, KY. Two Step Daughters: Roxanne Davidson and husband Carl of Fort Thomas, KY, Nancy Merida and husband Michael of Knoxville, TN. One Brother: Andrew Barnes and wife Frances of Williamstown, KY. Three sisters: Jenita Bennett of Heidrick, KY, Joann Smith and husband I.J. of Romulus, MI, Pearl Hall and husband Ed of Statesville, NC. Four Brother-in-Laws: Bill Hammons and wife Jamie of Hamilton, OH, Virgil Hammons and wife Esselene of Girdler, KY, James Hammons and wife Sherry of Leachburg, OH, Glenn Hammons and wife Wanda of Tyner, KY. One Sister-in-law: Wilda Moore and husband Malcom of Hamilton, OH. Twelve Grandchildren: Amber, Travis, Tyler Dewayne Kelle, Tyler, Austin, Joshua Kyle, Jonathan, Matthew, Trever, Trinity and Kelsey. Two Step Grandkids: Michael and Corey.

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Barnes will be conducted at the Hampton Funeral Home Monday April 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Morris, Rev. Charles Eversole and Rev. Roy Eversole officiating and Rev. Kellie Barnes officiating at Graveside. Burial will follow in the Yeager-Powell Cemetery with Kenny Barnes, Larry Barnes, Ed Barnes, Tyler Dewayne Dennison, Jonathan Hubbard, Joshua Kyle Dennison, Trevor Wagner, Bo Cobb and Tyler Ledford serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Raju Vora, Dr. Warren, Knox County Home Health Services, Members of Old Ark House of Prayer, Bob Hadicks, R.C. Jones, fellow-hunting buddies of Mr. Barnes and Brother Drew Barnes. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
