Mr. Billy Jean Cox age 65 of Hinkle, KY departed this life on Monday, April 23, 2012 in the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was the husband of Rehna (Crawford) Cox and the son of Richard and Rosa (Messer) Cox and was born to them on February 23, 1947 in Bell Co., KY. Mr. Cox was a Veteran of United States Army and had been a logger and farmer during his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Rosa Cox, two brothers, Pau Cox and Robert "Bob" Cox and one sister, Myrtle Cunningham.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Rehna Cox, one son Paul Dewayne Cox of Richmond, KY, a daughter, Jeanna Cox of Cannon, two brothers, Jimmy Cox of Barbourville and John Cox and wife Sallie of Hinkle, four sisters, Tressie Stewart and Chelsia Rice and husband Larkin all of Barbourville and Geraldine Hanner and Troy Roark both of Michigan, one grandchild, Slade Cox of Winchester, KY. Mr. Cox also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Bill Cox will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. David Barnard officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews, Marty Cox, Gorden Hanner, Jason Stewart, David and Darrell Frederick. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery at Hinkle. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:30 p.m.
