Mrs. Billie Louise (Miller) (Smith) (Bowers) Werlein, age 92 of Venice Florida, formerly of Himyar Kentucky, Sidney Ohio, Minster Ohio and North Port Florida departed this life on Tuesday Morning, December 20, 2022.  She was the daughter of William G. Miller and Gertrude (Hubbard) Miller Wright, born on December 11, 1930 in Pineville, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her husband(s) Arnold Smith,  Harold Bowers and Leonard Werlein, parents – William and Gertrude, one son, Arnold John Smith, a sister, Lois Leonard and a brother, G.L. Dean.  Brothers in law and sisters in law , Mary Miller and husband Floyd, Lena Smith and husband Sammy, Peggy Jane Smith, Virgie Asher and husband Reed, Ruby Cate and husband John, Viola Brooks and husband Joe, Lois Estes Bowman and husband Earl, Lloyd Smith and wife Clara.

Left behind to mourn her passing, one daughter, Debra L. Stoner of Houston, Ohio and one son, Calvin G. Smith of Dallas, Texas, one sister Mollie Hamilton of Somerset, Kentucky, two granddaughters, Rachel Markee and Jennifer Smith both of Texas and a great granddaughter Elizabeth Markee of Texas.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends in Florida, Kentucky and Ohio.

She loved to travel, dance, work on puzzles, read, crochet but most of all spend time with family and friends (especially special friends Steve and Heather Petrofsky).  She graduated from clown school and helped bring smiles to many during parades, nursing home and hospice visits with balloon animals.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Louise Werlein will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jonathan Chambers officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
