Billie Sparks

Mr. Billie Sparks, age 57 of Barbourville, Ky. departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at his home. He was the son of William Bill Sparks and Lucille (Carroll) Sparks born to them on March 24, 1949 in Knox Co. Mr. Sparks had been a steel mill worker in Trenton, Michigan for a number of years. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at Bailey Switch. He is preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Sparks and parents, Bill & Lucille Sparks, two brothers, David and James Carson Sparks and one sister, Cleo Matthews.

Survivors include:

Three Sons:          William Sparks, Matthew Brown and wife Kayla and Stephen Brown all of Flat Lick, Ky. two daughters, Tammy Sparks of Artemus, Ky. and April Sparks of Jackson Co. six brothers, Joe Sparks and wife Judy of Weriton, West Virginia, Benny Sparks of Gray, KY, Larry Sparks of Detroit, Michigan, Jack Sparks and wife Debbie of Detroit, Michigan, Roy Sparks of Walker Park Rd. and Ricky Sparks and wife Linda of Stubenville, Ohio, two sisters, Francis Overbey and husband Dewayne of Swan Pond and Alice Smith and husband Mark of Gray, KY., six grandchildren, Stanley Michael Sparks, Christina Nicole Sparks, Kaitlin Ivy Sparks, Madeline Earlen Sparks, Ryan Andrew Sparks and Conner Matthew Brown and one grandson expected, baby Calvin Lee Lacy Clark. Mr. Sparks also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Billie Sparks will be conducted on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wolfe and Rev. J.C. Grubb officiating. Pallbearers will be: family & friends. Burial will be in the Hutchinson Cemetery at Bailey Switch. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
