Ms.Billie Jo Bays age 79 of Artemus, passed away on Saturday morning, March 10, 2012, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Hugh & Amanda (Garland) Foley born to them on May 21, 1932 and was the widow of Elmer K. Bays.
Billie was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, former Jeweler, and factory worker for Fuller Brush Company, also a school bus driver, and a sales clerk for the Sowder's Men's Store.
Besides her parents & husband she was preceded in death by five brothers Hubert, Homer, Clarence, Arthur, and Clyde Foley, Four sisters Bertha Sowders, Barbara Henderson, Helen & Mae Foley.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her two sons Kenneth Bays of Artemus, Keith Bays & wife Geraldine of London, and one daughter Bonita Jo Axley & husband Mark of Plant City, FL, one brother James Foley of Barbourville, and one sister Elma Carr & husband Bob also of Florida. Six Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Billie Bays will be conducted on Tuesday evening, March 13th, 2012 @ 8:00p.m.with Rev. Ted Satterfield officiating . In the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will follow on Wednesday in the Burch Alford Cemetery @ 11:00 a.m. with Keith Bays, Danny Lee Bays, Andy Bays, Jeremy Bays, Jess McVey, Mike Blevins, and Floyd Blevins serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements
