Mr. Bill Buchanan age 49 of Corbin, KY passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 in
the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, KY. He was the husband of Charlene (Puckett) Buchanan and the son of Lee & Mary Jane (Miller) Buchanan born to them on May 13, 1962 in Knox County.
Bill believed in the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, was a former coal miner, and was the owner & operator of Charleys garage and co-owner of Tri-county Cab Company.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Lee Buchanan, an infant baby sister Stella Mae Buchanan, two brothers Charles Lee Buchanan, and James Russell Buchanan.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Charlene Buchanan, his mother Mary Jane Buchanan, two sons Kenneth Lee Buchanan & wife, and Paul Samuel Buchanan & wife Leann, one daughter Virginia Buchanan & spouse Christy all of Corbin, KY. One brother Jimmy Buchanan of Covington, KY, four sisters Betsy Grace Tuttle, Faye Buchanan, Virginia Rose Robertson & husband Howard all of Corbin, KY, and Florence Ann McVey of Barbourville, KY, one grandchild Sara McKenzie and an Honorary grandchild Rachel Hayre. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Buchanan will be conducted on Friday, January 20, 2012 @ 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dorsey King officiating. Pallbearers will be Virginia Buchanan, Ed Brown, Paul Buchanan, Michael Buchanan, Timothy Puckett, Charles Kenneth Puckett, Larry Gray and Richard Puckett. Honorary Pallbearers are Justin Calvert, Charlie Miller, James Miller, and Jimmy Buchanan. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery at Rockhold, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 .a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9; 00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
