Ms. Beverly Janice Coomer age 64 of Lexington, KY departed this life on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her home. She was born on November 10, 1944 in Knox County, KY. to the union of James and Ruby Mills Roark. Mrs Coomer was a believer in the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and Ruby Roark, by one brother Larry Carroll and three sisters Linda Kay Nallie, Charlotte Cox and Kathy Kress.
Survivors include two sons Doug Gambrel and wife Peggy of Lexington, KY. and Ricky Gambrel also of Lexington, KY. by five brothers Ronnie Carroll and wife Pat of Pineville, Ky., Jerry Carroll and wife Juanita of Barbourville, KY., Billy Carroll and wife Doris of Flat Lick, KY., Danny Carroll and wife Mary of Middlesboro, KY and Mike Carroll and wife Felicia of Harrogate, Tennessee. She is also survived by Seven Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ron Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Cemetery at Gray, KY. with Douglas Gambrel, Jr., Mark Gambrel, David Gambrel, Joshua Mitchell, Johnny Gunter and Ronnie Carroll serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
