Mrs. Beulah Asher Grubb age 85, of Barbourville passed away Saturday October 24, 2009 at her residence. She was born at Baughman, KY in Knox County on October 28, 1923 to Lacresa Asher. She was united in marriage to Henson Grubb on December 3, 1938. She was a homemaker and a member of the Boone Height Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lacresa Asher and by her grandparents who raised her Pete and Molly Asher, two sons, Roscoe Grubb and Curtis Grubb and one daughter, Agnes Cook, one grand daughter, Patsy Ann Smith and one son in law, Jamie Cobb.
Survivors include her husband Henson Grubb and three sons, Bo Grubb and wife Nita, Donald Grubb and wife Jeneen, & Jerry Grubb and wife Darlene all of Barbourville, KY, five daughters Carolyn Bunch and husband Randy of Melvindale, MI, Magdalene Smith and husband Tip, Wanda Messer and husband Tony, Sandy Cobb and Alesia and Victor McWilliams all of Barbourville, KY. She is also survived by twenty three grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren, special cousins and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Grubb will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Henson and Rev. Roe Gibson officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. James West and Dr. Paul Peterson. Mrs. Grubb will be laid to rest in the Messer Cemetery at Bimble, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
