Beulah Mae Carnes, better known as "Boots" passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Myrtle Mills, born to them on June 15, 1944 in Knox County. Beulah was a cook for the Knox County Public School system and believed in the Baptist Faith. She greatly enjoyed spending time with all of her special friends at the Horizon Senior Citizen's Club in Bell County. She united in marriage to Willie J. Carnes, known as Bill, and to this union three children were born.
Along with her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her husband Bill; two brothers, Clifford and Jay Mills and two sisters; Loretta Rahal and Shirley Mays.
She is survived by her loving children: William Franklin Carnes of Dewitt; Mary Gambrel and husband William of Flat Lick and Shan Carnes of Dewitt: A daughter-in-law, Glenda Sue Carnes of Barbourville: One brother, Danny Mills of Flat Lick: One sister, Mary Shadd of Michigan: Four grandchildren; Teresa Gambrel Mills, Amanda Sue Carnes, Franklin Cody Carnes and Monica Brown: Three Great Grandchildren: Hailee Carnes, Josie Bargo and Brantley Bargo.
Funeral services for Beulah Mae "Boots" Carnes will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Mud Lick Cemetery at Dewitt.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home Wednesday, August 26, 2015 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday after 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Friday, after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
