Mrs. Betty Wagner age 87 of Bimble, KY departed this life on Monday, April 08, 2013 in the Baptist Healthcare in Corbin. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Dewitt, KY and was the daughter of John & Mahalia Epperson. Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker and a member of the Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church.
Mrs. Wagner is preceded in death by her parents, John & Mahalia Epperson, her first husband Goble Price and her second husband Jesse Wagner, one son, Raymond Wagner, five brothers, Andrew Taylor, Anthony Epperson, Richie Epperson, Oscar Epperson and David Epperson, eight sisters, Jeannette and Headie, (twins), Flora Jones, Cenia Bargo, Sallie Hubbard, Nancy Gambrel, Hazel Epperson and Amanda Powell.
Left behind to mourn her passing, is three sons, Bo Price and wife Janet of Heidrick, Bobby Price and wife Betty of Bimble, Larry Wagner and wife Angie of Bimble, two daughters, Sharon Wright and husband Danny of Bimble and Sherry Jordan and husband T.J. of Road Fork, one sister Ada Ruby Towe of Barbourville, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and a great nephew who she raised as her own, Jimmy Messer of Bimble. Mrs. Wagner also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Wagner will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ted Satterfield and Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons of Mrs. Wagner. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lohe and staff. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
