Mrs. Betty Sue Jordan age 63 of Bimble, KY passed away on Thursday night in the Oaktree Hospital in Corbin, KY. She was the wife of J.B. Jordan and the daughter of Jimmie & Mary (Mills) Longsworth of Knox County born to them on July, 18th, 1947.
Mrs. Jordan was of the Pentecostal faith, was a homemaker, and was a mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family & grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmie & Mary Longsworth, an infant daughter Cora, and an infant son Jeffery, and one son-in-law Powion Brown.
Left behnd to mourn her passing is her husband J.B. Jordan, one son James Jordan, four daughters Cleo Brown, Rosemary Jordan, Linda Kay Jordan, and Betty Ann Jordan all of Bimble, KY, four brothers Roy Longsworth, Virgil Longsworth, both of Bimble,KY, and Perry Ellis Longsworth & wife Patricia of Girdler, KY, and Edward Jr. Longsworth & Sabrina of Barbourville, KY, three sisters Virgie Gray & husband Eugene of Flat Lick, KY, Cory Johnson & husband Finley of Bimble, KY, and Carolyn Sue Brown & husband Jerry of Bailey Switch, KY, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will be conducted on Monday, February 21st, 2011 @ 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Holder, Rev. Charles Eversole, and Rev. Roy Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be Darren Sizemore, James Hooker, Sam Jr. Castle, Michael Hooker, Rev. Shane Martin, and Pete Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers will be Grandsons & nephews. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler,KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends ant the Hampton Funeral Hme on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00p.m.
