Mrs. Betty Sue Brown, age 60 of Scalf, Ky. departed this life on Friday, February 2, 2007 in the St. Joe’s Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
She was the wife of James Brown.
Mrs. Brown was the daughter of Oscar Davis and Lula (Shelton) Davis born to them January 29, 1947 in Warren, Ky.
She was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church for the past 10 years. Mrs. Brown was retired from the Knox Co. School Board.
Mrs. Brown was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: John Davis, Bill Davis, and Ray Davis; sisters: Wanda Fuston and Lossie Bushanan, mother-in-law: Cordia Brown; sister-in-laws: Addie Davis and Helen Brown; brothers-in-law: Charlie Fuston and Isom Wilder; and one grandson Trevor.

Mrs. Brown also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be conducted on Tuesday-February 6, 2007 at noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. Earl Hammons and Rev. David Barnard officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at the Brown Cemetery at Brown’s Branch, Ky.
