Mrs. Bertie Ann Hamilton age 57 of Barbourville, KY passed away on Tuesday - August 16th, 2011 in the Knox County Hospital. She was the wife Lewis Hamilton and the daughter of the late Cash & Louise (Miller) Burnett of Knox County born to them on April 1st, 1954.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping, reading, yard sales, crafts, attending church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Marie Bowser.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her husband Lewis Hamilton of Barbourville, one son Matthew Lewis Hamilton & wife Denise of Corbin, one daughter Crystal Dixon & husband Mark of Barbourville, four brothers Virgil Burnett, Lonnie Burnett, Bobby Burnett, and Larry Burnett & wife Loretta all of Piqua, Ohio , three sisters Maudie Bryant of Piqua, Ohio, Pauline Larger & husband Chris of Orlando, FL, and Betty Smith & husband Art of Barbourville, four grandchildren Samantha Salyer, and Kristian, Loren, and Matthew Hamilton. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Bertie Hamilton will be conducted on Thursday - August 18th, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Wagner & Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00.
