Bertha Knuckles

Mrs. Bertha Faye Knuckles age 61 of Flat Lick, KY passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the Pineville Community Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. John Riley Knuckles, Jr. and the daughter of Lewis & Bertha ( Smith) Gregory born to them on August 28, 1948 in Bell County. KY
Mrs. Knuckles was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, Faye enjoyed having a good time, being the life of the party, fishing, liked to be with her friends & family, and loved being with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lewis & Bertha Gregory, her husband John Riley Knuckles, Jr., four brothers Oliver Red Gregory, J. D. Gregory, Harve Gregory, and H.L. Gregory, one sister Mary Alice North, one sister-in-law Wanda Gregory and two brothers- in-law Luke Brummett, and R.E. North.
Left behind to mourn her passing is one son Joe Knuckles & wife Ruth Ann of Barbourville, KY, one daughter Teresa Knuckles & life partner Dewayne Napier of Flat Lick, KY, four brothers Estil Gregory & wife Evelyn of Arjay, KY, Earl Gregory of Clear Creek, KY, Otis Gregory & wife Bobbie , and Lewis Lloyd Gregory & wife Teresa both of Troy, Ohio, two sisters Nancy Brummett and Susie Moseley both of Telico Plains, TN, four grandchildren Katelynn Knuckles, Kevin Knuckles, Jacob Knuckles, and Jaxon Knuckles along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knuckles will be conducted on Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Owen Smith & Rev. Timothy Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick with family & friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Dr. Combs. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

The Knuckles family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00.
