Mr. Bert Peters age 60, of Barbourville, Ky. departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Juanita Peters and the son of Shelby Peters and Myrtle Smith Peters born to them on October 18, 1946 in Knox Co. KY. Mr. Peters was a member of the Apple Grove Baptist Church and loved dealing with old cars.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Peters was preceded in death by three sisters: Ruby Peters, Roberta Frederick, and Shirley Peters; and two brothers Roy Wayne Peters and Delbert Peters.

One sister: Helen Peters Rice of Barbourville, KY
Three brothers: Luther Johnny Peters and wife Louise of Heidrick, KY
Jerry Peters and wife Dianna of Salt Gum
Edward Peters and wife Annette of Barbourville, KY
Mr. Peters also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews in addition to friends and neighbors to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Peters will be conducted on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B.F. Jackson and Rev. Donnie Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Wilson, Tommy Peters, Jeremy Wilson, Cody Wilson, Casey Sears, Elvis Owens, Jimmy Jenkins, Jeff Rice, Steve Rice and Steve Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Steven Morton, Dr. John Cronin, Gary Perkins, D.B Jenkins, Don Treadway, Buck Treadway, Elbert Reed Hampton, Ted Hampton, John Rex Hampton, Allen "Bainy" Hampton, Tommy Peters and Mike White. Burial will follow in the Barbourville City Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
