Mr. Belve Smith, age 60 of Girdler,Ky. departed this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in the Ephram McDowell Medical Center in Danville, Ky. He was born on September 03, 1946 to Beve Smith and Edna (Abner) Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church a retired construction worker and a veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Beve & Edna Smith and one brother James Delmas Smith, one sister Reatha Smith.
Survivors include: One son, Billy Gene Smith of Grays, Ky. One daughter Norma Jean Brown of Rockhold, Ky. One Sister Helen Deitert and husband Neal of Melvindale, Michigan. Two Grandchildren, Justin Alford Brown II, Ayden James Smith. Mr. Smith also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Belve Smith will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday – July 21, 2007 at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Interment will be at the Hampton Cemetery at Girlder, Ky. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
