Mrs. Belle Caines Crawford age 74 of Barbourville, Ky. passed away Saturday April 21, 2007 in the Knox County Hospital.
She was the daughter of Luther Caines and Elvira (Hughes) Caines born to them October 8, 1932 in Perry Co. Ky. Mrs. Crawford believed in the Baptist faith. Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Russell, Andrew and Edgar Caines; two sisters: Peggy Caines and Zola Whitfield; and one infant son: David Crawford. Survivors include Mrs. Crawford’s only son Martin L. Crawford and wife Sue of Barbourville, Ky.; one very special granddaughter: LaRhonda Sue Crawford; two step grandchildren: Cindy Broughton and Jamie Hinkle. Mrs. Crawford also leaves behind three sister-in-laws: Opal, Mabel and Ailene Caines in addition to 9 nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Crawford will be conducted on Tuesday-April 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Johnson and Rev. Paul Fredrick officiating. Pallbearers will be Wendell Daniels, Jamie Hinkle, George Whitehead, Ryan Mays, Rev. Harold Smith and Ricky Hobbs. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick, Ky.
