Beatrice Hubbard age 79 of the Artemus community in Barbourville, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018, in the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born in Knox County on July 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Orville Brock and Bertha Bargo Hubbard.
Beatrice loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, especially the Goodwill of Middlesboro and visiting her friends at the Senior Citizens Center in Pineville. Serving her Lord was a top priority and she attended several churches with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Orville Brock and Bertha Bargo Hubbard; her step-father, Jessie Hubbard; her husband, Vernon Hubbard; a sister, Pauline Henson and Elzie Saylor, whom she loved as her brother.
She is survived by her loving son, Dennis Hubbard (Margaret) of the Artemus community; her brothers: David Hubbard (Springtime) of Indiana and Harold Hubbard (Beulah) of Barbourville; Her sisters: Evelyn Rickman (Buddy) of Barbourville, Carolyn Patterson (Paul) of Bimble, Joyce Elliot (Mike) of Bimble, and Edith Thomas (Rick) of Barbourville; Her granddaughter, Wendy Partin (Steve); two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kimber Partin and a brother-in-law, Rev. Charles Henson. Beatrice is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends left behind to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Beatrice Hubbard will be conducted on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Rick Thomas, Rev. Charles Henson, and Mark Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Obie Mills Cemetery in Mills Creek with Nathan Garlen, Calleb Garlen, Steve Partin, Mark Rickman, Justin Rickman, Cody Merida, Canaan Corey, Dewayne Henson and Brandon Thomas serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday, April 15, 2018, after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Monday, after 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 2:00 P.M.
