Barbara Simpson

Mrs. Barbara Jean Simpson, age 50 of Dewitt, Kentucky, formerly of Artemus passed away at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, KY Sunday-March 4, 2007. She is the daughter of the late Lee Ellis and Linda Collins born to them August 11, 1956 at Pineville Community Hospital. She was a member of the Coal Port Holiness Church.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents Lee Ellis and Linda Mae Collins, Grandmother Tina Collins, Grandfather Lee Pascal Collins, and a very special friend Bobby Dean Barnette.
Survivors include, One daughter: Linda Lee Graster and husband John Chirstopher of Middlesboro, KY
Two sons, Gregory Simpson of Dewitt, KY and
Larry Wayne Simpson and wife Tammy Kay of Laurel, County, KY,
Two sisters, Betty Lou Ramey of Fredericktown, MO and
Gladys Heinz of Indiana
One brother, Leland Ellis of St. Louis, MO, Seven
Grandchildren: Dakota Lee Spencer, Amber Noel Simpson, Robin Nicole Mills, Casey Garland, Ticie Garland, Josh Garland, and Bobby Paul Garland in addition to two nieces Brandy Lee Ramey and children; and Lacy Danielle Morgan.
Mrs. Simpson also leaves behind a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson will be conducted on Thursday-March 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Coal Port Holiness Church with the Rev. Roe Gibson officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Van Cemetery at Coal Port, KY . Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
