Mr. Arvil Dewayne Hibbard age 66 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his home. He was born in Knox Co., KY on November 25, 1944 and was the son of Willie Hibbard and Victoria (Stewart) Hibbard.
Mr. Hibbard believed in the Baptist faith. He was a truck driver and former lead guitarist for "Black Salt."
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Victoria Hibbard, one brother, Henry Russell Hibbard and one sister, Wilma Carnes.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Geraldine Mills of Barbourville, one son, Duane Hibbard and wife Latina of Hagerstown, Indiana, two daughters, Kellie Mitchell and husband Mark of Economy, Indiana and Sherry Hill and husband Anthony of Lily, KY, three step-sons, Doug Mills of Barbourville, Eric Mills of Gray, KY and Donnie Mills and wife Jenny of Barbourville, six brothers, Arthur Hibbard and wife Jane of Kings Mtn., KY, Vernon Hibbard of La Grange, KY, Otis Hibbard and wife Bernice of Winchester, Indiana, Ralph Hibbard and wife Linda of Franklin, Ohio, Willie Hibbard, Jr. and wife Imogene of Winchester, Indiana, Dennis Hibbard and wife Debbie of Boone Height, KY and one sister, Alene Carnes of Flat Lick, KY, eleven grandchildren, Billy Sizemore, Matthew Sizemore, Josh Mills, Jordan Hill, Skylar Hill, Brandon Hibbard, Duane Hibbard, Jr., Dustin Mills, Megan Mills, Whitney Mills and Casey Mills and four great grandchildren. Mr. Hibbard also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hibbard will be conducted on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Jaggers and Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his truck driving friends. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery at Scalf, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
