Mr. Archie Jefferson Baker, age 41, of Girdler, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY. He was the son of Archie Jefferson Baker and Patricia Walker, born to them on August 3, 1971, in Knox County, KY. He is preceded in death by his father.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his mother, Patricia Walker, Flat Lick, KY, one son, Justin Baker, Bailey Switch, KY, fiancée Crissey Lynn Urhig, Girdler, KY, two step-children, Haden Alexander Uhrig and Mecah Nevaeh Uhrig, one granddaughter, Allie Marie Baker, his maternal grandmother, Rebecca Miller, two brothers, Steven Todd Baker, Dewitt, KY, and James Gambrel, LaGrange, KY, two sisters, April Michelle Richardson, Corbin, KY, and Tammy Lynn Roark, Barbourville, KY, two uncles, Elvis Baker and Mack Baker, and one aunt, Barb Hall, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Archie Jefferson Baker will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Roy Vaughn and Rev. Anthony Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Flat Lick, KY, with Glen Slone, John Hensley, Nick Hall, Wayne Hall, Ellis Baker, and James Damron serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
