Mr. Tony Shields age 50 of Barbourville departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2010 He was the son of Neil & Willa Dean (Hall) Shields born to them on December 17, 1959 in Middlesboro, KY. Tony was a self employed Heating, Ventilation and Cooling Technician. He was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his parents, Neil & Willa Dean Shields of Barbourville, one son, Anthony Neil Shields and his mother Stephanie Wagers of Barbourville, three sisters, Susan Poff and husband Derrick, Donna Martin and husband Larry and Denna Shields all of Barbourville, two nieces, Abby Martin and Megan Poff, two nephews Nicklaus Martin and Michael Poff and one step son Jeremy Wagers. Tony also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Tony Shields will be conducted on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2: 00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Vandy and Rev. Carl Gallion officiating. Pallbearers will be Douglas Shields, Mike Shields, Scott Shields, Jeff Shields, J.M. Hall, Chris Hall, Gary West, Roger Brooks and Uncle Joe Shields. Burial will be in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
