Ms. Annitta Carrol Martin age 59 of London, Ky. departed this life on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born on March 8, 1948 in Harlan Co., KY and was the daughter of Solomon Crit Stewart and Helen Bernice Hargis Stewart. Ms. Martin was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents Solomon and Helen and one brother, Herman Stewart.
Survivors include, one son, Harris Duwayne Martin and one daughter Cynthia Martin both of London, KY, one brother George Stewart and wife Shirley of Bailey Switch, KY and two sisters, Elanor Stewart of Bailey Switch and Violet Smith of Manchester, KY along with two grandchildren, Kiersten Smallwood and Katerina Smallwood. Ms. Martin also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral servoces for Ms. Martin will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Bargo officiating. Pallbearers will be George Stewart, Jr., John Stewart, Jr., Crit Stewart, Jason Stewart, Jessie Jackson and Garrett Black. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clandis Smith, John W. Stewart and Tommy Black, Jr. Burial will be in the Hutchinson Cemetery at Bailey Switch, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
