Anna Mae Brown

Mrs. Anna Mae Brown, age 81, of Somerset, KY, and formerly of Knox County, KY, departed this life on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at her home. She was a member of the holiness church. Mrs. Brown was the widow of M. D. Brown, and daughter of Floyd and Rosie Taylor Brown, born to them on May 14, 1931, in Knox County, KY. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Geneva Brown, Victoria Earley and Elsie Scalf, and two brothers, Fred Brown and L. C. Brown.
Survivors include one son, Hallix Brown, Somerset, KY, one daughter, Chelsia Watson, Lexington, KY, two step-sons, Asbery Brown, Barbourville, KY, and Leslie Brown, Barbourville, KY, and one step-daughter, Flora Brock, Barbourville, KY, three grandchildren, Jamie Watson, Jason Watson, and Hallix Ryan Brown, one sister, Calle Warren, Barbourville, KY. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mae Brown will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bud Sizemore officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery, Dewitt, KY.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday Evening, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m., and on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
