Mrs. Ann Davis age 70 of Barbourville, Ky. passed away Friday , December 07, 2007 In the UK Hospital. She was the widow of the Claude Davis. Mrs. Davis was born March 9th, 1937 in Clay Co. KY to Harve and Sudie Vaughn. Mrs. Davis believed in the Baptist faith, and was a housewife. She loved to shop and decorate. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Harve & Sudie Vaughn, her husband Claude, two daughters Mary Ann Murphy and Lisa Byers, one son Todd Murphy, two brothers and nine sisters.
Survivors include: five daughters Claudia Ann Bowden & husband Jason of Corbin, Lynn Madon of Corbin, Tammy Liford & husband Keith of Flat Lick, Michelle Williamson & husband Timothy of Barbourville, and Diana Jackson of Barbourville, one son Michael Murphy of Barbourville, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, three Brothers, Bill Vaughn and wife Betty of Callebs Creek, Richard Vaughn of Artemus and Glen Vaughn and wife Frances of Bimble and one sister, Nola Hubbard of Barbourville. Mrs. Davis also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted on Monday 10th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sylvester Dunn & Rev. Keith Liford. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Burial will follow in the Mayhew Cemetery at Sharps Gap, Ky. Barbourville, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
