Miss Amanda Lee Garland, age 28 of Dewitt, KY departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2009. She was the daughter of Dora Garland and the late Ralph West and was born on May 28, 1980 in Knox Co., KY. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph West, one brother, Steven Garland and her grandparents, Dora & Marvany West and Bon & Nolie West.
Survivors include, her fiance’ Jed Brown of Dewitt, KY, her mother Dora Garland of Dewitt, KY, one brother Jeffrey Garland & wife Julie of Crittenden, KY, a niece, Tayler Lister, a nephew, Coleman Garland, a step-niece, Becky Brown and a special aunt and uncle Darlene Rose and Michael Lambert. Funeral services for Miss Garland will be conducted on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stoney Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery at Harps Creek. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
